Time sure flies it is the end of the month and we have had below normal temps most of the time. We did get some beautiful rain again yesterday.

My husband went out to a farm we know and got some more sweet corn bi-color. This will be the second time we have had it and the season is going fast.

I am in the HGTV mini quilt swap again for fall with Holee again. She is my favorite partner because I know I can count on her. The doll quilt above is the one I received from PamH at the Board I really love it and the bright colors. She is so nice of course she lives in Missouri LOL. I am working on a challenge doll quilt with Scottys and it is fun to do my own design. I am also embroidering some blocks from Willowberry Designs block of the month. She has three more to put up and I am working on block 5.
Do you ever watch Bill O'reilly on Fox News at night? Well I read his latest book and it wasn't nearly as good as promised. I guess people really care what he says but I take him with a grain of salt LOL.

Monday

It has been a wonderful day today. We had 2" of rain on Saturday and the air is so clean and not humid and the sun so bright. I love it.

I am going to mail my doll quilt and potholders tomorrow for my swap partners. And I have signed up for Holee's new mini swap at HGTV. I only want to do the fall one because I have enough Christmas decor. Fall is my favorite time of year.

DD was here on Saturday and we had a nice meal Cheddarwurst and potato salad and of course chocolate cake. She will not be coming this Saturday she is going to a craft show in her town and I think that will be fun for her.

I rejoined the scrappy quilters group. It was always a lot of fun but I don't want to do those block swaps. Heather said that was okay. I have missed those girls too.

Good day

It has been a dreary day today cloudy and cool. I have started my doll quilt for the swap and I am doing it in the bricks pattern. I got the pattern free from the Moda website.

The pic is of the quilt I received from Chele who was the hostess for the swap the first time and I didn't get one. She made this for me and insisted I take it. It is really pretty.

I finished my huge doily finally after a month and now I am going to make some more thread potholders from a new pattern I got on the web.

I should be getting the next one for the swap tomorrow from Pa. Thanks for reading -
