It is cloudy now after a pretty start to the day. We will have colder weather for a few days and then it will warm back up again. It was 81° yesterday.
I have started another doily that was a February mystery at Crochet Box. It has a lot of flowers on the outer edge but I don't know if I will make as many as it calls for. I like flowered doilies but this is a lot of them.
Here is one I made a few years ago.
I have been reading some really good books lately. One was The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood. And another is Best Friends by Jennifer Weiner. I hope to find more by these authors. I have a book coming from Half. com The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. It is a movie now and my library doesn't have a copy.
Here is the doll quilt Rhonda made me for March. She also sent two fat quarters, some butterfly buttons, a patchwork bookmark and some ribbon roses with pearl hearts. Very nice of her to include these extras.
Have a great weekend.

Monday again and pretty busy...
I am trying a different font. It's big.
We had another pretty nice weekend. DD didn't come again but will probably try next week.
I have been working on the runner for the swap at Quilted Table. I have picked out one from Fons and Porter's magazine but had to go to their website to get the pattern. The lady wanted pastels colors and I don't have a lot of pastels in my stash but I am making it work.

I received my doll quilt from Rhonda at the Board and she did a great job on it. She kept apologizing for being late. I guess she is sitting out April's. These are some of my tulips. I only plant red ones.

Back to winter here....
It has been so cool today only 45° right now at 3 o'clock. Supposed to warm back up Saturday.
I have been doing some cleaning this week. It seems to never end LOL.
I am showing some things I have made this last month. Some doilies and a challenge quilt.
The little quilt is for Small Quilt Talk and the doilies I just did for fun. I have also made some potholders.
I am going to have a colonoscopy in 2 weeks and I dread the prep more than anything. My brother had one and he is said that is the worst part of it.
Have a great weekend

My 101st post..
This is Pancho on my cutting table. He keeps me company.I finally got my 100th post. It took awhile. It is 82° right now at 5:00 PM too warm for 4-2 in my opinion but I am not complaining.
I am working on a challenge at SmallQuilts http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smallquilttalk/?yguid=266860305. Kathy is having us make pinwheel blocks for a small quilt and I had a terrible time figuring out how to put them together. I did finally make 4 of them and am now contemplating what to do next. It is fun though because it gets the old brain to working harder. LOL.
Do you ever do crossword puzzles? I love doing them and our paper has two everyday along with a Jumble and Word Search. I can't get into Soduku as I am no math person.
DD is coming for 2 hours tomorrow for Easter dinner. I am looking forward to it as she hasn't been here for two months. She is taking PT twice a week but isn't very far yet with her recovery.
Have a great Easter weekend.

Another pretty day so far....
The sun is shining and it is around 58° and pretty nice. I got my hair cut today and it is really short. I hadn't had it cut in ages.
I finished the tabletopper I made at SQA it isn't very good but I am glad it is finished.
I am now making a year-round Christmas quilt with 2 blocks a month at QTS. I have 4 blocks finished. I am also signed up for the April doll quilt at the Board.
Not much else to write about. I saw some daffodils blooming today and my tulips are way up. I just hope it doesn't snow anymore. There are buds on the bushes and trees too.
American Idol wasn't very good last night some of the singers were way off and really off key. Some were good too but I have no idea who would get the door tonight. I don't watch the results shows because I go to bed at 9. LOL

Gloomy day but no rain....
We have had rain all day Saturday and our back yard has two ponds LOL. But it is better than more snow.
I have been making meatballs some for spaghetti later and some for subs later this week. Have to get the buns first. Have you ever started talking about eating something and then you just have to go make it. That's what happened with the meatballs. I got the recipe at Pioneer Woman's blog. She is so fun and is a great cook. I also have a friend in Cincinnati - Lillian who is a great cook. I use her recipes all the time. Her blog is very informative and creative.
I can't believe this but I am not doing the schoolhouse block swap at SQA because they had so many color rules I would rather make my own. I would have had to buy a lot of new fabric. I am cheap when it comes to swaps like to use my stash. I hope they aren't upset that I pulled out. They are really nice.
And this is the doll quilt I made for a swap at the Board. I usually do applique but decided to do something harder. Thanks for reading and hope your day is going well

Hey the sun's out ....yahoo!!

I made this potholder awhile back and plan to make a lot more. They are so much fun to plan out and make.

This is where I found the pattern.
I have been working on a new doll quilt for the swap. Just have to sandwich it, quilt & bind. I got Rhonda this time and she is a lot of fun. She writes quilting books and all kinds of tutorials over at the board.
I am also making a pincushion over at Block Central. These ladies are great and a lot of fun.
These are some practice blocks for a schoolhouse block swap at SQA on Yuku. The only thing is they want the whole thing including the 6" block to be in all the same colors. Which is fine with me, I am keeping these anyway.
