http://www.mysewingcircle.com/forum/list. This is a new site for sewers but they include quilters too.
A young couple owns it and they are up for suggestions from everyone. It is a lot like Ravelry the way it is designed. Drop in and pay them a visit. they have people from all over the world.
Here is the wonderful quilt I received today from Grama Lehr in the April doll quilt swap. It is so cute and cheerful. She sent my cat and dog some treats too. I was sad to hear she is sitting out the next few swaps as she is a great quilter.
I went out to lunch today with my old friend and it was nice as I haven't done that for awhile. She is getting ready to put her house up for sale and she took me on a tour.

Another crummy day...
I guess we were lucky we didn't have any severe weather like poor Mississippi.
We are having the shower in the Master Bath replaced and it is almost done. The contractor tore out the old ceramic tile and put in one of those wall things and a new shower bottom tray. DH also bought a nice shower head and faucet. He is the only one who uses it so he got what he liked. We are not putting in doors again just a curtain. We will see how that goes and we can always add one.
I received a pincushion Saturday from Northern Deb at Block Central. The girl who had my name hasn't been heard from in a long time so Deb who was the hostess sent me one.
It is a piece of cherry pie and is so cute.
I am hoping the other girl is okay.
I am in so many swaps and sometimes things happen and you don't receive on time I try to be patient and not complain but I do tell them if they ask.
Right now I am in a table runner/topper swap and have it almost finished and ready to mail. Also a FQ swap. a Secret Pal swap, and the May doll quilt swap. It keeps me busy and can be a lot of fun. I haven't received my April doll quilt yet but I have faith it will be here before April 30th.

Rain is coming....
It is cloudy now after a pretty start to the day. We will have colder weather for a few days and then it will warm back up again. It was 81° yesterday.
I have started another doily that was a February mystery at Crochet Box. It has a lot of flowers on the outer edge but I don't know if I will make as many as it calls for. I like flowered doilies but this is a lot of them.
Here is one I made a few years ago.
I have been reading some really good books lately. One was The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood. And another is Best Friends by Jennifer Weiner. I hope to find more by these authors. I have a book coming from Half. com The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. It is a movie now and my library doesn't have a copy.
Here is the doll quilt Rhonda made me for March. She also sent two fat quarters, some butterfly buttons, a patchwork bookmark and some ribbon roses with pearl hearts. Very nice of her to include these extras.
Have a great weekend.

Monday again and pretty busy...
I am trying a different font. It's big.
We had another pretty nice weekend. DD didn't come again but will probably try next week.
I have been working on the runner for the swap at Quilted Table. I have picked out one from Fons and Porter's magazine but had to go to their website to get the pattern. The lady wanted pastels colors and I don't have a lot of pastels in my stash but I am making it work.

I received my doll quilt from Rhonda at the Board and she did a great job on it. She kept apologizing for being late. I guess she is sitting out April's. These are some of my tulips. I only plant red ones.

Back to winter here....
It has been so cool today only 45° right now at 3 o'clock. Supposed to warm back up Saturday.
I have been doing some cleaning this week. It seems to never end LOL.
I am showing some things I have made this last month. Some doilies and a challenge quilt.
The little quilt is for Small Quilt Talk and the doilies I just did for fun. I have also made some potholders.
I am going to have a colonoscopy in 2 weeks and I dread the prep more than anything. My brother had one and he is said that is the worst part of it.
Have a great weekend

My 101st post..
This is Pancho on my cutting table. He keeps me company.I finally got my 100th post. It took awhile. It is 82° right now at 5:00 PM too warm for 4-2 in my opinion but I am not complaining.
I am working on a challenge at SmallQuilts http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smallquilttalk/?yguid=266860305. Kathy is having us make pinwheel blocks for a small quilt and I had a terrible time figuring out how to put them together. I did finally make 4 of them and am now contemplating what to do next. It is fun though because it gets the old brain to working harder. LOL.
Do you ever do crossword puzzles? I love doing them and our paper has two everyday along with a Jumble and Word Search. I can't get into Soduku as I am no math person.
DD is coming for 2 hours tomorrow for Easter dinner. I am looking forward to it as she hasn't been here for two months. She is taking PT twice a week but isn't very far yet with her recovery.
Have a great Easter weekend.

Another pretty day so far....
The sun is shining and it is around 58° and pretty nice. I got my hair cut today and it is really short. I hadn't had it cut in ages.
I finished the tabletopper I made at SQA it isn't very good but I am glad it is finished.
I am now making a year-round Christmas quilt with 2 blocks a month at QTS. I have 4 blocks finished. I am also signed up for the April doll quilt at the Board.
Not much else to write about. I saw some daffodils blooming today and my tulips are way up. I just hope it doesn't snow anymore. There are buds on the bushes and trees too.
American Idol wasn't very good last night some of the singers were way off and really off key. Some were good too but I have no idea who would get the door tonight. I don't watch the results shows because I go to bed at 9. LOL
